Secrets in the Stones

Secrets in the Stones is  a story of threats, blackmail, and violence set in Los Alamos, in the mountains of northern New Mexico.

Karen Kane is a jewelry artist.   When her college friend Craig Allen accepts the job of his dreams at the Laboratory in Los Alamos, he invites Karen to come see what the southwestern US is like and she jumps at the opportunity.  Karen wants  a shop of her own and  New Mexico might be just the place she’s been dreaming about, but Karen could never imagine the things that would happen once she arrived.

Los Alamos brings new friends, unexpected opportunities, and more. When Martha Mabe offers her a chance to show her jewelry at Atomic Jewelry, Karen never thought she could be putting herself at risk working there.

The murder of a well known researcher sparks outrage in the community.  Of course this raises questions about how this could happen in a place devoted to scientific inquiry and Karen is determined to solve this mystery.
